Primal Technologies announced today that its Open Services Environment (OSE) is commercially deployed with TelEm in St. Maarten to offer GSM SMSC. Primal Technologies SMSC allows wireless carriers to leverage the OSE to provide short message service for their network and generate revenue immediately. Additional features include Web Based SMS and Group Text Messaging, which allow even further opportunities to increase revenue against Over-the-Top applications.
The OSE with its many applications is connected to the IP and SS7 network simultaneously. Other applications supported on the IN-OSE include Unified Messaging, IN Prepaid, USSD, and OTA. Once connected to the IP network, subscribers can update their accounts and profiles from anywhere in the world via the WWW and their credit card. Primal OSEs range with NFV technology range from 50,000 to 5,000,000+ subscribers allowing wireless service bureaus and MVNOs to scale their solution with their subscriber base.
To administer, control and monitor the OSE the service provider utilizes Primal Skynet. “Primal Skynet easily exceeds telecom expectations for a simple, highly-focused turnkey solution to control, monitor and report on SMS and our other enhanced services like Voicemail, Prepaid, MMS and OTA. With Primal Skynet, service providers will have a wide selection of support and operational features that are administered by Engineering, Customer Service, and Marketing,” says Michael Conway, Vice President of Primal Technologies.
