AirTouch Cellular will launch Calling Party Pays service first in Colorado, followed by rollouts in all of its
service areas. The product will address several problems carriers experience with CPP service, including
high costs to subscribers, billing of untraceable calls to a customer and caller notification of increased
charges, said Jonathon Marshall, spokesman for AirTouch. The CPP service utilizes technology from Primal
Technologies and Lucent Technologies.

Primal Technologies announces another successful launch of a Primal Service Node (PSN) application.
Clearnet PCS, Inc. has deployed the PSN Voice Response Unit (VRU) nationally to provide the client
interface for Clearnet’s "Say When" service. The PSN VRU is a carrier grade system with WWW Access,

Primal Technologies has opened a new office at 2570 Matheson Blvd in Mississauga Ontario. The new
office complex was chosen to allow Primal to centralize the Development and Technical Support teams.

Burke Communications (Chicago, USA) launches its combined PrePaid calling and Voice Mail service.
Utilizing the flexibility of the PSN, Burke offers these services in Chicago and nationally via 800/888
numbers. Burke Communications is maximizing their usage of the PSN by utilizing PriMail to provide a free
voice mailbox to all of it's calling card users, a service that will create brand recognition in the competitive
PrePaid calling card business. Burke Communications is leading the charge in offering advanced services
while minimizing Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) by also deploying an integrated IVR menu to handle credit
card activations and charges. Primal has been working closely with Burke Communications for over 6
