Primal Technologies Deploys Unified Messaging & SMS for Carolina West

Mississauga, August 8 2005 — Primal Technologies announced that its IN Open Services Platform has been commercial deployed with Carolina West for Voice Mail - Unified Messaging and SMS. "Carolina West was looking for a single solution for present and future IN applications and Primal Technologies was the right choice" says Stephen Lehr director of sales for Primal Technologies. "Carolina West also required a SMS technology solution that could integrate their MMS and Push To Talk solution effectively and Primal Technologies continues to demonstrate a telco grade SMS that meets their needs"

The Open Services Platform (OSP) with its many applications is connected to the IP and SS7 network simultaneously. Other applications supported on the IN - OSP include IS826-Prepaid and Conferencing. IN-OSPs range from 10,000 to 500,000+ subscribers allowing wireless service bureaus and MVNOs to scale their solution with their subscriber base. Primal's modular IN architecture allows the OSP applications to inter-operate with the many different trunk and signaling interfaces that exist today. These interfaces include: TCAP, ISUP, MF, PRI, and VoIP.

To control the Open Services Platform is the showcase software Primal Skylight. Primal Skylight is the Operation and Marketing tool that provides real-time status of the Primal Service Node (PSN). Primal Skylight provides data on; PSN Usage, Customer Balance, Revenue Generation and System Status on a Continuous, Hourly or Daily basis. Real-time Call Detail Records can also be reviewed to assist in trouble-shooting billing related issues. Primal Skylight easily exceeds telecom expectations for a highly focused tool to track mission critical applications on the OSP.
