To Provide National Prepaid & Voice Mail Solution For Hondutel
Mississauga, November 18, 2003 - Primal Technologies Inc., (
www.primaltech.com) of Mississauga, a provider of specialized
intelligent network applications for the telecommunications carrier and
service provider industries, has signed a contract with its consortium partner
Alfacom to provide a national Prepaid and Voice Mail solution for the
incumbent Honduras telephone company Hondutel. The Primal platform will
give Hondutel the ability to provide prepaid services to 500,000 voice mail
and prepaid subscribers. The enhanced services will allow Hondutel to
generate additional revenue while reducing operating costs.
The initial implementation involves the Primal Technologies to provide
multiple Primal Service Nodes for the cities of Tegucigalpa, La Ceiba
and San Pedro Sula. Each Primal Service node utilizes open technology
from Sun Microsystems. The Primal Service Nodes are interconnected to the
SS7 network in multiple locations with an IP backbone to allow nationwide access.
Hondutel will utilize Primal Skylight to manage their Prepaid and Voice
Mail subscribers. Primal Skylight easily exceeds telecom expectations for a
turnkey integrated solution to manage and provision all subscribers and services.
Primal Skylight will provide the entire Hondutel organization, which includes
Operations and Maintenance, Engineering, Marketing, Finance and Customer
Service, with real-time performance, marketing and financial information.
