Primal Technologies Inc.
Signs CityTel for Next Generation Voice Mail

Mississauga, August 1 2003 - Primal Technologies Inc., (
www.primaltech.com) of Mississauga, a provider of specialized Intelligent
Network applications for the telecommunications industry, has signed CityTel
for a combination landline-wireless Next Generation Voice Mail solution.
Operating on the Primal Service Node (PSN), CityTel will be offering traditional
Voice Mail and Unified Communications features. "In addition to basic Voice
Mail, Fax To Email, Voice Mail to Email, Outlook Name Screen Pops and WWW Voice
Mail will all be part of the solution for CityTel" says Primal's vice president
Michael Conway. "Our single PSN has all the capability to offer these features
with even more features in the development path to be downloaded".
"To effectively monitor the voice mails services on the PSN, the solution is
offered with a tightly integrated network monitoring tool: Primal Skylight –
a graphical user interface (GUI) that runs on the desktop and connects to
the PSN which is processing all the voice calls," adds Conway. "This enhanced
tool allows Network Operations, Customer Service and Marketing to administer
the system easily and effectively."
CityTel provides landline and wireless service in Prince Rupert British
Columbia. To service these two major customer groups CityTel was requiring
a platform that can service the uniqueness of each side without utilizing
two different systems. CityTel's history began when the City of Prince Rupert
purchased it in 1910 and since then, CityTel has been offering world-class
telecommunications products and services to its customers. CityTel is the
only independent and municipally-owned telco in Western Canada and has proved
to be an aggressive competitor in telecommunications. Keeping pace with a
rapidly changing industry, CityTel has made significant investment in the
infrastructure in Prince Rupert with recent moves into cellular and Internet
service.
